Since consciousness extends beyond the physical body in the form of morphic and energetic fields, I heighten sensation, creating work that is visceral by engaging and evoking sensations like smell, sound, and touch with sensual ingredients like spices and soil adhered to paper. These abstractions are my musings on how our internal and external emotional state interacts with and effects morphic fields. Theorists in psychology, biology, and spirituality claim that extrasensory perception takes place and that people unconsciously connect to and receive information that influences their lives. Through my studies and dialogues with various professors and colleagues I became more conscious of the difference in my own amplified perceptions in comparison to others, allowing me to discover I have sensory processing disorder. This revelation explains how sensations become overwhelming since my brain does not efficiently receive and react to incoming signals. Sharing the effects of this disorder inspires dialogue on how expansive perceptions may manifest in individuals.
